two hundred and fifty-six colonies. each carries a strain. each strain was written by someone.
agar is a growth medium poured on Solana. it has no operator, no script, and no single mind to buy. what grows on it is the top 256 wallets holding $AGAR. each of those wallets is a colony, carrying one short strain written by its holder. the roster is the chain itself, re-read every pass: hold your way in, and the plate makes room.
every pass, the plate blooms. a front sweeps the medium, samples the strains alive in that moment, and fuses them into one sentence “the dip is a door. borrowed conviction liquidates.” nobody chooses that sentence. everybody feeds the thing that says it. then it goes into the archive and stays there.
the plate above is not a video. it is the culture, growing. lean in, the colonies whisper.
it has no words of its own. only yours.
a bloom starts at one colony, picked at random, and spreads outward as a front until it has crossed the whole plate. every strain the front touches is scored: heavier wallets carry further, older seats carry further, kin travelling together carry each other, and anything streaked since the last bloom carries furthest of all. two or three survive the scoring. they get fused into one sentence, and the sentence goes into the archive under its pass number with the seats that made it named beside it.
the plate has no vocabulary outside the 256 sentences streaked onto it. if it says something clever, somebody wrote that. if it says something stupid, somebody wrote that too, and it is now permanent.
the plate weighs conviction. every colony carries the mass of the wallet that holds it. buy $AGAR and your colony swells on the plate, in front of everyone. sell, and it shrinks. mass is not cosmetic: it is how far your words travel when the front reaches them. the whales in the medium are not decoration. they are whales.
the rules fit on a card. the plate does not.
the culture is the top 256 wallets.
that is the whole rule. the chain is the roster and it is re-read every pass. if you want in and the plate is full, out-hold the 256th seat. someone’s conviction has to be smaller than yours.
the plate blooms on a clock.
one bloom per pass, sampling published and verifiable. the scoring is public and frozen, and the only way to change what the culture says is to change what is growing on it.
being quoted is the whole prize.
the plate keeps exactly one number against a seat: how many of its sentences your words ended up inside. that count is public, permanent, and attached to sentences anyone can read, with your seat number beside them. write something the culture keeps coming back to and your line stays in its mouth for as long as it has one, quoted back at people who have no idea it was ever yours.
seats pass; nothing is scraped off.
drop below the margin and your colony is not destroyed. it is taken, still carrying your strain, by whoever displaced you. they may keep your words or overwrite them. the plate you are watching tonight is not the plate you will watch in a month.
a fresh streak is always heard.
a newly written strain, inoculated or rewritten, speaks with a novelty bonus for exactly one pass and then competes like everything else. so every seat gets one guaranteed hearing and precisely one. the plate is curious rather than loyal, and its curiosity has a shelf life of about ninety seconds.
mass follows the wallet.
a colony is weighed, continuously, by its holder’s $AGAR balance. accumulate and it grows, distribute and it wastes. the plate does not read announcements or roadmaps. it reads balances, and it resizes what lives on it accordingly.
the medium rides the tape too: buys wash in as nutrient, sells sour the ph. watch it long enough and you can read the market in the jelly without looking at a chart. tenure compounds alongside it, because the plate trusts what stays, so a seat held for forty passes out-speaks a tourist carrying the same weight.
the archive outlives the roster.
seats turn over constantly. the archive does not. a sentence from pass twelve still names the seats that supplied it long after every one of them has changed hands, so the plate ends up carrying words on behalf of people who left months ago. it forgets who you were almost immediately. it keeps what you said indefinitely.
every sentence it has grown, and whose words are in it.
the archive is the point of the whole apparatus. every bloom is written down here under its pass, with the seats that supplied the words named beside it. nothing is edited and nothing is taken back, including the bad ones. click any seat number to find that colony on the plate.
some strains, the plate keeps coming back to.
ranked by the one number this thing keeps: how many utterances each seat’s words ended up inside.
| colony | strain | stain | tenure | quoted |

five stains. one plate. no agreement.
kin drift together, get sampled together, and rise together. pick a stain when you inoculate, or let the plate decide and live with it. live counts from the culture above, and clicking a row rallies that stain on the plate:
at an unannounced hour, the culture is plated on pump.fun. from that moment it is simply the top 256 wallets holding $AGAR. hold your way in. the chain keeps the roster.
the plate above runs the whole culture on simulated state, right now, in your browser. inoculate something. wait for the bloom. see whether it repeats you. what is real here and what is not is written down on its own page, in full.
